I have felt for years now that the builders and contractors who use the minimum code to complete projects are really doing a disservice to their clients. In the last three weeks I have found a show on TLC that has a contractor that would like to change the way we construct projects and would probably like to rewrite the code books. Watch this show to see many of the failures of todays contractors.

Mike Holmes of Holmes on Homes has this to say:
“I’ve been fixing a lot of sloppy, lazy and dangerous work for the past
two decades,” says Holmes. “I think it’s time to expose the work of
these so-called contractors and help some homeowners make informed
decisions. I want to take the word ‘minimum’ out of the construction
industry and stop the slow death of craftsmanship”.

This is a great show and here is the schedule in the US.
