Window guards are an effective deterrent against window falls

While windows add a certain character and value to any home, they also pose a hidden danger to children. Every year, thousands of children fall from open windows, resulting in serious injury or death.

New codes in the last year have been put in place to help reduce these falls. Andersen has recently added an option that all parents should be interested in. This safety device can restrict the height of opening to the 4″ requirement but in an emergency can allow the unit to open fully for egress safety as well.
